Typesetting Papers in ToCTeX
Before final publication, authors will need to submit the LaTeX source of their manuscript typeset in ToCTeX, a LaTeX class compiled using the toc.cls class file which you may download from this page.
In order to use the toc.cls file, you will need to have the following LaTeX packages installed in your system: article, hyperref, refcount, lastpage. All of these should be available in your standard LaTeX installation.
Overview
If you already have a LaTeX document using the article class, all you will need to do is change the class to toc and modify a few lines in your preamble. An overview of the changes involved is given below:- Instead of a \maketitle you will need to use the frontmatter environment for the meta-data.
- All material normally typeset as a footnote to the author's name, now has its own section at the end of the article. We ask you to use the tocauthor and tocaboutauthor environments to tell us about yourself.
- The toc.cls class defines many theorem-like environments for you as well as corresponding \ref-like macros. So instead of having a Lemma~\ref{lem:xyz} in your LaTeX document, you can use \lemref{lem:xyz}. You are encouraged to make use of these \ref-like macros as it will make it easier for readers of the published work to move around in the PDF file.
- The preparation of a delightfully clickable bibliography is aided by the ToC Eprint package which will link your bibliography items to a number of archives.
